Experience the RevierRoute Landpartie – Höfe and Heide

The Ruhr area is one of the largest conurbations in Germany. But all these people also have to be supplied with food. Before the times of global trade, the supply of the population was mainly ensured by the adjacent agriculture. On our RevierRoute "Landpartie" you cycle through the many agricultural areas around the radrevier.ruhr.

Through the beautiful Kirchheller Heide

The start and end point of the approximately 52-kilometer tour is the train station in Dorsten. From there you cycle in the direction of Bottrop and drive through the Kirchheller Heide, which is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Ruhr area. You continue past wide fields to Hünxe before you walk along the Wesel-Datteln Canal and the Lip and the historic village of Krudenburg reached, which offers numerous photo motifs.

Final sprint on former railway lines

After crossing the Wesel-Datteln Canal in Hünxe, the RevierRoute “Landpartie” runs over the well-developed former Railway line Haltern-Wesel-Venlo through Schermbeck and takes you back to the train station in Dorsten via the Lippedeich.
