Small bike tour through the north of Duisburg
From Landscape Park Duisburg-Nord This 26-kilometer round takes you through the north of Duisburg. If you don't have your own bike with you, you can find it at the RevierRad station a suitable rental bike (advance reservation necessary!). On the green path, an old railway line that has been expanded into a wonderful cycle path, the tour first leads in the direction of Oberhausen.
Past the Emscher
Shortly before the A3, the tour branches off to the Kleine Emscher. In the course of industrialization, the Emscher had to be shifted north twice to counteract the sinking of the mountain. The Kleine Emscher is practically the middle course of the river, because today's Emscher flows into the Rhine in Dinslaken. About the Bahntrassenradweg der wolf track the tour takes you through Duisburg-Marxloh. Finally, it goes back south along the Rhine. In Ruhrort you can see the largest inland port in the world before you go through the port area and later along the green path back to the starting point.
