Railway routes in the Ruhr area - the Lorraine route
The Lothringentrasse connects the site of the former Lothringen colliery with Bochum city center over a distance of almost 5,5 kilometres. The southern part of the Bahntrassenradweg runs over a water-bound surface and the northern section over a perfect asphalt surface.

The Lorraine route is interesting as a connecting route between Bochum and Dortmund.
