Railway routes in the Ruhr area - the Klöcknerbahn
The railway line of the former Klöcknerbahn runs for around 13 kilometers in the district of Unna. From the Koenigsborn colliery in Bönen you first cycle west. In the meantime you have to switch to the traffic because the original route is no longer passable. From Kamen, the Klöcknerbahn then runs in a northerly direction to just before the Datteln-Hamm Canal. The connection across the canal to Werne is possible via the colliery railway.

The Koenigsborn colliery now belongs to Industrial heritage route. The artist Mischa Kuball used the colliery tower together with a colliery in Kamp-Lintfort for his light installation "Yellow Marker".
