Beginner's trail with quite demanding elements

Basically, the cross-country trail on the Hoheward heap is rather easy and therefore well suited for beginners. But experienced bikers can also enjoy varied trail fun on Hoheward. The hiking trails are rarely crossed, so the potential for conflict between pedestrians and bikers is reduced to a minimum. Except for the adjacent curves on the south side of the heap, the trail is also easy to ride for beginners - the speed determines the level of difficulty. Small jumps on the descents increase the fun and put a big smile on your face.

 Promising breaks and heavenly cake

Away from the trail, the wide panoramic view from Haldentopp with the mighty horizon observatory or the photogenic sundial with obelisks is worth relaxing breaks. The Ewald Café on the grounds of the Zeche Ewald directly in front of the Halde Hoheward with delicious pieces of cake as a popular biker meeting place.
